How do you like to use blessed salt?
I was given blessed salt to bless my nieces with. They started looking into witchcraft so I blessed their rooms and prayed with them. Happily I can say their teenage interests went into another holier direction. Still praying that they decide to follow Christ.🙏
Thank you for sharing this story! This is the grace of God at work through one of his sacramentals. We will keep your nieces in our prayers :)
AND sometimes takes time, BUT, GOD wins thru prayers. ❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
I pray one day to have a strong and spiritual relationship with my daughter that you two lovely ladies have🙏❤️✝️
Thank you! We have our ups and downs like any mom and daughter, but it is a true blessing to spend time together :)
I have not used blessed salt before, but I've heard of it. I have a blessed bell (exorcised), blessed chalk (for the doorway), and, of course, holy water. Now I plan to have some salt blessed!
I lived in an extremely creepy house with a dark history which I moved out of 5 years ago. We had a mass of deliverance offered by a priest to "clear things out." You can bet I made use of holy water, too! I'm a firm believer in these sacramentals.
What a scary experience!
My grandmother would bring this to newlyweds or anyone getting a new home or apartment.
That's awesome! What a great gift :)
Such great information ❣️ Convert here and still.learning about all the rich treasures of our 2000 year old Church💙💙💙
Deliver us O LORD from all evil, in the Name of JESUS and by His Blood that defeats satan🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️✝️✝️✝️💙💙💙✝️✝️✝️💛💛💛✝️✝️✝️
We're so glad it was helpful for you- and congratulations! You will never run out of things to learn about the Catholic Church; we are always learning here :)
I already knew this, but not from my Catholic background, but from the faith of my wife (Russian Orthodox), she has salt blessed in her Church every year. Before I met my wife I had actually never heard of it.
Thank you for your channel, I enjoy watching it and my God bless you.
Very interesting! Thank you for sharing- and thank you for your kind words; we are so glad you enjoy our channel!
Blessed salt protects you and your home. it may have saved my home friom home invaders and possibly my life.
I’ve been cooking with blessed salt and olive oil the last 2-3 years since I learned that I could just drop it off at my parish to have my priest bless it. I also drop off a gallon of drinking water every year and candles. These are great sacramentals.
We agree!
Great video! The rubrics of both the Traditional Latin Mass and the Novus Ordo Mass encourage the priest to bless water and bless salt, mix the two together, then sprinkle the people with them. The sprinkling is traditionally referred to as the "asperges".
Such beautiful traditions. What a blessing to be Catholic!
Thank you for this information. I am a Protestant pastor and a Catholic convert.
You are very welcome! We will keep you in our prayers; please pray for us!
I have never heard of this but I've only been Catholic for 8 years. Thank you so much for posting this video it was very informative and helpful.
You are so welcome!
I’m 80 and been a practicing Catholic all my life, including Catholic education yet never ever heard of blessed salt! Hummmm
I was raised Catholic. I read about blessed salt a few months ago for the first time. It was nice to see your video with practical ways to use the salt.
Thank you ladies! Great ideas for blessed salt! God bless you! ❤
Of course! God bless!
This was so great! Especially loved the idea of cooking with it and eating it when sick! So nice to find you on here. Subscribed! 🙏🏼❤️😇
Thanks so much for your kinds words and for subscribing. We appreciate both!
I live in ac hurricane area. I sprinkle blessed salt at all entries to my home each spring. When hurricane season is over I collect the salt and put it outside around my house. I remember to pray when doing this, as this is not magic, but acknowledging my dependence on God's protection.
Beautifully said- we are relying on God's protection.
Hello amazing ladies! What a beautiful, informative video! I’m learning so so much from you! I had heard of Blessed Salt but didn’t really know how to use it, and you gave wonderful, practical examples! May The Lord bless you ladies ❤️🙏✝️
Thank you so much! Your kind words mean a lot :)
Great informative video! Thank you! Will be incorporating this!
Glad it was helpful!
I thought I heard Fr Ripperger say that you can sprinkle a little blessed salt into a larger container of regular salt & it blesses the entire jar?
He said it has to be at least 10%.
We have read that with holy water, the container has to be at least 51% holy water to be effective. With salt we have read various levels, so it might be best to ask your local priest.
Thanks for sharing this useful information!
Thank you.
Wow, this was just so interesting. I don't recall ever hearing about blessed salt. I'm so glad that you shared this. So, you can basically use it in almost all the ways that you use holy water?
Thank you for being here for us !
Yes- it is very similar to holy water in many ways, but we do like that you can take it into an airport when you can't take a liquid.
😊👍 awesome information.
Thank you! Glad you found it helpful :)
THANK YOU IT WAS VERY HELPFUL, THINGS IWOULD HAVE NEVER USED IT FOR. NEVER LIKE THAT
We're glad the vide was helpful. Have a blessed day!
🙏🙏🙏🌟
Very interesting! I had no idea this existed.
We love how there is always something new and interesting to learn about the Catholic faith :)
Thank you so much for this topic. I have always heard of Blessed salt but didn't know how to get it or what to do with it. This answered all of my questions. Thank you both soo much!
Glad it was helpful!
That cat was really funny 😁
He is a great helper lol
I have blessed salt and use it in my bedroom before sleep, in my car etc. but I love all the other ways you suggested!
Thank you! We're glad the video was helpful for you :)
A priest brought me Blessed Salt from Medjagore It was the only way he could travel.
If you are having trouble concieving… try a tiny sprinkle of a grain or two in your calming tea. Know that God loves you and has a plan for you.
Thanks a lot for the explanation! 🙏🏻
Hi
Can I check , do we sprinkle the Blessed Salt just like how we sprinkle Holy Water in the hotel room ? And what’s the prayer we say while sprinkle the Blessed Salt .. thank you 🙏🏻
Hello- you can sprinkle a small amount in the corners of the room or along a window sill. We like this simple prayer to say while sprinkling it: “I seal this room [or home] in the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ our Savior, in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.”
I want scripture and verse as to where "blessed salt" is in the bible.
2 Kings 2:21: Then he (Elisha) went out to the spring and threw the salt into it, saying, “This is what the Lord says: ‘I have healed this water. Never again will it cause death or make the land unproductive.’”
So, can we use blessed salt in our food everyday, in contrast to using only when sick?
As far as we know, you can use it every day. It is good to keep the salt canister marked as blessed salt, though, so it's always used respectfully.
Want type of salt to use for blessed salts?
Hello- you can use any kind of salt; just have your priest bless it :)
Perhaps it’s a dumb question but won’t it attract bugs if I sprinkle let’s say on a rug?
Hello- there are no dumb questions, so no worries :) Salt would most likely not attract bugs, but if left in large quantities it might damage the finish on wood, etc… so best to do a test area. But we don't generally worry about it since we sprinkle small amounts.
exorcised salt! & Epiphany water
Only priests should bless ?? Any other minster lay people
Hello- to clear up any confusion, only a priest can create blessed salt by blessing it. After that, parents can use it to bless their children, etc. Hope that helps!
I would recommend going to Traditional Mass and asking the priest to bless it in Latin prayers....demons hate latin prayers according to exorcism!
Sounds to me like the church might be afraid you have salt in your possession as women, seem like spellwork
Hello- blessed salt is a sacramental, an item meant to turn our hearts and minds to God. It is used in the Church in many ways, and it has a rich Biblical tradition. There is definitely no spellwork about it. God often chooses to use physical items to heal and protect us. For. example, Jesus used mud in the Bible to help cure a blind man, and water is used in baptism. Hope that helps you understand a little better :)
Jesus ladys is all you need, hes the only way to the father,,,
Lord, forgive them for superstitious nonsense.
2 Kings 2:21: Then he (Elisha) went out to the spring and threw the salt into it, saying, “This is what the Lord says: ‘I have healed this water. Never again will it cause death or make the land unproductive.’”
Try using blessed water and see for yourself.
It's magic thinking. Like some kind of spell. Witchcraft, essentially except a priest casts the spell. You people are lost.
@@kaptainwarp We respectfully disagree. God often works in our lives through physical things such as water in baptism. Is the water magic, then, too? Here is one of many ways that salt was used in the Bible. 2 Kings 2:21: Then he (Elisha) went out to the spring and threw the salt into it, saying, “This is what the Lord says: ‘I have healed this water. Never again will it cause death or make the land unproductive.’”
Repent ladies!jesus is our peace, you are not to call any priest father, its in bible,,,idols God doesnt like eather, read New Testament, its about Jesus, and soon and verry soon he will be returning, dont put your trust in all thease evil things your doing, jesus is the way to the father,no priest will get you there, pray to jesus,he’s waiting for you
I’ve never heard of blessed salt. I will now buy some and get it blessed. Thank you so much for the information. 🩵🙏
You are so welcome- we're glad to hear it was helpful!
